The Vision

As a father to children in this school district, I have had an increasing interest in the state of Princeton Public Schools and our community. As I have followed the Board of Education Meetings, engaged with my community of John Witherspoon and worked alongside college students, I know the barriers for students of color, the academic pressures for all students, and the brokenness that is created by widening socioeconomic differences. These problems are not compatible with sustaining a healthy and successful school system. That is why I am eager to engage these difficult topics, be a listener to all and work alongside the other School Board members to create a better future for the whole PPS community. My hope is not to see these problems alleviated but eradicated for a better future. The best ideas do not come from one singular perspectve but rather from a community of thinkers.

Three reasons to vote FIELDS on November 7th:

Bridge Building:  I will work to address Racial Bias and inequality in our schools for both teachers and students. I will ensure that we are building bridges for racial equality and unity because it benefits all of our children.

Intentional Initiatives: I will strive to ensure that current initiatives are examined and reevaluated to protect the students' well-being without compromising their academic success. My desire is to solicit the insights of teachers and parents in making decisions that send all students from diverse backgrounds and diverse needs into the world as empowered and healthy young adults.

Sustainable Success: I will make great efforts to lessen the burden of the socioeconomic gap felt by students in our district. Ensuring that our growing district remains committed to creating a culture that is inclusive and welcoming of all socioeconomic statuses. I will do my utmost in not allowing socioeconomic status to determine who is successful.

Most importantly,  I ask for your vote so together we can eradicate barriers for a better future in PPS.
