The Why

How it All Started:

This spring, I was invited to a meeting for Princeton Black Educators. During this meeting, I witnessed Steve Cochrane, Princeton Public School's Superintendent, take an intentional step to unite our community. By his action, he showed a desire to take a stand against racism and to move our school district in the right direction. It was such an honor to listen, learn and voice my concerns as a parent. Unbeknownst to me,
my experience ignited a passion in my heart to not only talk about the need for change but to be a part of the change I desired to see.

First and foremost, I am running as a concerned parent and I am running because representation matters to all children. Vote for me if you desire to cultivate a learning environment that exhorts the pursuit of excellence. I envision a school system where excellence prevails and sustainable success is defined as “being your best”  rather than “being the best.”

I am eager to join the school board in contributing to "being OUR best." at Princeton Public Schools by eradicating barriers for a better future.  I will do this by building bridges within our school, creating intentional initiatives, and making PPS's success sustainable.
